On April 9, a deputy of the National Assembly and a member of the парламент’s Committee on Science and Education, Mehriban Vəliyeva, visited “Hədəf STARS Campus.”
During the meeting, the founder and director of the Hədəf Group of Companies, writer-publicist Şəmil Sadiq, provided detailed information about the lyceum’s activities, applied modern education models, and implemented projects. He noted that developing students’ critical thinking skills, applying innovative approaches, and forming an educational environment based on national and moral values are among the main priorities at Hədəf Lyceums. Şəmil Sadiq also highlighted that the STEAM approach is widely applied in teaching, and various laboratory and project-based activities are carried out to develop students’ practical knowledge and skills.
Later, the guest was introduced to the Kamil Interactive Science Museum, the “Turan tent,” the Hədəf STARS STEAM Center, subject laboratories, and creative workshops operating within the lyceum. Information was provided about projects that combine students’ scientific-technological creativity with national-cultural heritage.
A sincere meeting was held with the lyceum’s teachers, where Member of Parliament Mehriban Vəliyeva conducted training on the topic “Values in Education.” She stated that in the modern era, education is not only about transferring knowledge but also includes fostering national and moral values, patriotism, and a healthy civic position among students. Emphasizing the special role of teachers in this process, the deputy noted that they carry an important mission in the moral development of society.
Mehriban Vəliyeva also informed the teachers about ongoing educational reforms in the country and stated that in the coming days she will conduct an open lesson at Hədəf STEAM Lyceum based on İblis by Hüseyn Cavid, as well as organize trainings to share her experience with a group of the lyceum’s teachers.
At the end, a set of miniature books was presented to the guest as a gift.
