Friendship of Sciences Olympiad
Today, in all fields of science, the process of integration is taking place worldwide, and integrative approaches are a key focus in all subject curricula. To promote this approach more broadly among students, we have established the Friendship of Sciences Olympiad (FSO), dedicated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis.
Objective
The primary objective of the Friendship of Sciences Olympiad is to stimulate participants' intellectual thinking abilities, create favorable conditions for talented and skilled students, ensure their educational development and professional orientation in the future, reveal creativity and culture among students in general education schools, and instill analytical thinking skills in the teaching of academic subjects.
Content
In the Friendship of Sciences Olympiad, questions are prepared in an integrative manner. Each question and its answer options reflect the integration of 2 to 5 subjects. The questions, classified into 2-subject, 3-subject, 4-subject, and 5-subject categories, will be evaluated according to their difficulty level.
The 2024 edition of the Friendship of Sciences Olympiad, scheduled to take place on December 8, 2024, will be held among students from grades 2 to 10 attending general education schools in various cities and regions of the country, including Baku, Nakhchivan, Sumgait, and Khirdalan. The Olympiad, which will take place in one round, will last for 2 hours, during which students will answer 50 questions.
The main study materials for the Olympiad are the textbooks and school curricula for Azerbaijani language, literature, English language, mathematics, chemistry, biology, geography, physics, and history for grades 5 to 9, provided by the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The organizers of the Olympiad are Hədəf Publications, and its supporters include the Trial Exam Center, Medika Hospital, EduHek, SinKod, Hədəf Global, Robotzade, "Kitabevim.az" bookstore, "Senet.az" portal, and the "Ustad" magazine.
